Audi Quattro Gr.4

- The Group 4 Audi is also built from UR Quattro. In 2013 I drove two Historic-rallies: in Lahti and in Estonia, with the Audi rent from Italy.

- I wanted to buy it but the car wasn’t for sale, because the body shell was the original model built in Ingolstad by Audi Sport. It didn’t have any race history, because it was a spare part.

- Italians, however, had taken the civil body shell to many pieces which enabled them to build an another rally-Audi.

- Replica arrived to Finland in the end of May 2014. I’m going to drive Historic-Rallies with it when time permits. (VM 6/2014)

Audi Ur Quattro Civilian Car

- I’ve been dreaming of a big Audi Quattro Ur-Model. In 2011 this was found in German, in poor condition. The body shell was sunburnt, full of rust and the both sides were damaged. Luckily there’s a guy named Kimmo Korpela who has been working much with Audies. He restored the car to original civil car.

- My dad’s first rally-Audi was NKR-80. When the registration number was available, It was must to have it to this car. My dad has a long history of Audies and that’s why I’m Audi-minded, too. (VM 6 /2014)
